FRESHMAN ORIENTATION PEP-RALLY THURSDAY, AUG. 16, 11:30-12:30 WHAT’S UP “DOC”? We have been asked to provide a pep band for the conclusion of the freshman orientation session on Aug. 16th. WHO’S INVITED? All seniors, juniors and section leaders—winds and percussion; guard is invited as wellJ If we do not have enough seniors and juniors in a particular section, sophomores may jump in as well! WHAT DO WE DO? From noon-12:20, we play a bunch of pep-tunes for our freshman class… we are expecting over 400 students! We’ll teach them our “Fight Song” and other stand tunes (like the “Hey Song”). WHAT DO WE WEAR? Please wear your new SHOW tee shirt! WHAT DO WE GET IN RETURN? You are worth what you give away! We get the appreciation of our administration (who do a lot of “behind the scenes” advocating for us); we get noticed by our new freshman class whom we are still trying to recruit into our program; we get that warm-fuzzy feeling knowing that we are making a difference to the quality of life at Athens Drive! WHAT DO WE DO IF WE WANT TO PERFORM? Just sign up on the white board in the bandroom! --“Doc” Dr. Jerry Markoch Director of Bands Athens Drive High School 1420 Athens Drive, Raleigh, NC 27606 919.233.4077 jmarkoch@wcpss.net |
