Important Competition Day Logistics

Students may wear dress of choice on the bus to ASU; however, they are to avoid clothing that is revealing or too casual such as pajamas, thin sweat pants, etc.  It would be most appropriate to wear “Athens Drive gear”—band or school; however, please dress respectfully.  Jeans, tennis shoes are fine… As there are no changing facilities at ASU, so we will have our students change into uniforms on separate busses.  Consider wearing something that you can slip the uniform pants over to make changing and unchanging easy.

Students may bring a pillow and blanket, homework, and a DVD (rated PG-13 or less restrictive).

Be sure to wear something warm/comfortable—it is a bit colder up there!

Important Message from Uniform Committee:

Uniforms should be in band room ready to go by Thursday, 10/27.   If you have any loose or lost buttons, ripped seams or hems, or other uniform concerns please email at uniforms@athensdriveband.com ASAP.

Check list:

Shoes in garment bag

Black socks

Jacket and bibs

Hats/berets

Gloves

Wrist guards – percussion

Uniform committee will make sure all garment bags are loaded on truck.

Students traveling separate from band, the uniform committee will make sure hats are also loaded.
