Congratulations “Grand Champions!”
Wow, does that have a nice ring to it!

Congratulations on an OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE this past Saturday at South Brunswick High School in Southport, NC!  As the scoring showed, every part of our Marching Band contributed to a championship performance:  our drum majors, winds, percussion and guard!  I also want to thank and recognize our parents who perform countless “behind the scenes” work from chaperoning to sewing uniforms to building props to serving meals to driving trucks to selling BBQ and on and on and on!!!  You are GRAND CHAMPIONS AS WELL!   And how about our terrific staff, most who have been with us for over 8 years - Jennifer Mason, Sydney Medlin, John Antonelli, Wes Parker, Colin Lanier, Isaac Flowers, and all of our visiting instructors for our Concert Bands!  This marching band is really a team and that is perhaps the greatest part of it all!

I believe that Coach K said it best…
“The greatest pride of all comes from being a part of something that you can never do alone.”

The good news is that we’ve got several more performances to enjoy (and improve on!).  We are far from done; in fact we’ve really just started!  The ultimate goal is Tampa and that will be here before we know it!  The fun question is “How good can we become?”  Take a break this weekend (our last “free” one for a while…) and then come back ready to make this great band even better!
Our Concert Bands are presenting their annual Fall Chamber Concert this Thursday at 7pm.  (Information under separate cover and NO MARCHING REHEARSAL ON THURSDAY.)  Let’s fill up the hall for our kids!  In addition to enjoying amazing performances, you will discover an important ingredient in the making of this outstanding program!

Congratulations once again!
