Durham Bulls Fundraiser Update

posted Mar 7, 2017, 1:33 PM by Athens Drive High School Band   [ updated Mar 7, 2017, 1:33 PM ]
After many years of volunteering at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park, the ADHS Band Booster Board determined that this fundraiser is no longer a good fit for our organization. As a result, we will not be volunteering to fill spots at the Durham Bulls games this season. Please be assured that much research, thought, and discussion went into making this decision.
We realize that many families relied on this fundraiser to add credits to their band accounts during the spring and summer months. If you are one of those families, please consider signing up for one of the other fundraising opportunities offered during the spring and summer.
PNC - There are still spots left for this spring. Your account will be credited $30 (lead) or $25 (worker) per shift worked. Service credits can be earned by working this venue. Please use the following link to sign up:
NCFC - North Carolina Football Club (formerly the Railhawks) - These games run from early spring through the summer. Your account will be credited $20 per shift worked. Signups for these events are coming soon.
PARCC - Volunteers who have completed TIPS training can work at the Raleigh Convention Center and the Performing Arts Center. Your account will be credited $8 per hour worked at these venues. Training for these venues is being offered this week. Additional training will be offered later this spring. Please sign up using the following link (Deadline is 8 am, Wednesday, March 8th).

The service credit commitment of 5 per family will remain the same for the next band year. The board looked carefully at our remaining service credit eligible venues and determined the there are still enough opportunities available for every family to earn their service credits. The venues at which you may still earn service credits are State Fair Parking and PNC. If you have earned all 5 service credits for the 2016/17 band year, the service credit year resets on April 1st. You can begin earning 2017/18 service credits by working PNC events after April 1st.
If you have any questions or concerns about these changes, we are here to listen. Thank you all for the many ways you serve our incredible band program. We are honored to serve along side of you.
