I don't have as many details as normal as I spent part of my day in Chapel Hill talking to some high school students. I do know that all camp attendees were grateful for the passage of a cold front Tuesday night that allowed northeast winds to take over, and drop the humidity to much more tolerable levels. These students work really hard for long periods of time, so a respite from oppressive heat and humidity is more than welcome. When y'all come up here Friday night, you won't believe how much these kids have accomplished.
The winds, percussion, and guard started off practicing separately, but now Doc is piecing everything together and it looks and sounds really good! And I am once again having a great time obsessing about the metronome. I love it when tempos change within a movement. It makes me think!
