During baseball season, we staff the First Base Fan Stand concession and a beer stand at nearly all Bulls home games. Workers must be at least 14 years old. In both stands we serve beer, though the students do not handle beer or money. Sign ups are done through the coordinator or online. You must show up 2 hours prior to the game. Inventory is done before and after each game. Each game has an event leader who is responsible for the money and the ending count, then turns in the money and paperwork after closing. The band receives a percentage of the proceeds of the concession stand, and after crediting the individual band accounts of those working, any extra monies are given to the general band fund.
If you find you cannot work a shift you signed up for, you are required to find your own replacement. If you cannot find anyone to replace you, please call the coordinators as soon as possible.
Cancellation Policy: If you cancel within 2 days of your shift and do not find a replacement, your account will be charged the amount that you would have made had you worked the shift. Please understand, when people do not show up for their shift, it affects both the workers at the stand and anyone who wanted to work, but could not find a slot.
Individual Band Account Credits: Working the Durham Bulls Fundraiser credits your band account at the following levels:
- April, May, August and September weekday games during the school year (Monday-Thursday) -- Event Leader $45 and All Others $32
- April, May, August and September weekend games (Friday-Sunday) -- Event Leader $40 and All Others $27
- June, July and August (all games, except school days in August) -- Event Leader $40 and All Others $27
