The Belk box stands is an annual fundraiser offered to the band by Belk at Crabtree Valley Mall in Raleigh.
The Band is paid to staff Belk Holiday gift box stands, handing out complementary boxes to customers.
The stand will be open from the Friday after Thanksgiving through December 24th, during most of the stores holiday hours.
Duties include: Duties involve handing out boxes to customers, marking receipts, folding tissue paper and keeping stands supplied and neat. The sign in sheet and daily staffing schedule will be kept at the first floor location. Please sign in at the 1st floor Belk Box Stand before starting your shift.
Dress code: Dress code for parents is nice casual (no sweats), for students a nice band T-Shirt and slacks or nice jeans. There is a student contract that students must signe and give to the coordinators prior to working. (see "Belk Student Contract" below)
Signup: Use the Volunteer Sign Up tool to sign up to work the Belk Box Stand fundraiser. Shifts for Belk range from 3-6 hours. For every 5 hours worked, 1 service credit is earned. For every hour worked $6.00 will be credited to your student's band account. Please choose your dates carefully as this is the holiday season and finding replacements can be difficult. Once you sign up, the only way to cancel your shift is by contacting the coordinators. Please see the Cancellation policy below. It is required for all workers to be reliable and prompt.

Cancellation policy: If you cancel within 2 days of your shift and do not find a replacement, your account will be charged the amount that you would have made had you worked the shift. Please understand, when people do not show up for their shift, it affects both the workers at the stand and anyone who wanted to work, but could not find a slot.
